Numerous times on this blog we have covered different ports of flash for iPod Touch and iPhone. All of these ports that we have provided information on however, do have one thing in common. They have absolutely no chance of getting accepted into the official app store. That is why Skyfire; a new app that takes flash elements and converts them into a html5 format, was developed. This really is a brilliant idea, because no Adobe software is needed for this app to function. Meaning that it complies with every rule in Apples development SDK. As the app complies with Apples development SDK, the actual developer has submitted this App to the App Store. Check out the video of this app in action below…
The real question now is do you think Apple will approve this new app? As you can see in the video, the app runs extremely well and the apps actual performance seems pretty impressive. Personally, I can see Apple approving this app and then showcasing it as HTML5 is the future (a campaign they have been trying to prove). You never know however, Apple has denied apps before that should of complied with every SDK rule. Do you think Skyfire will become approved by Apple?
Well, only three days after the expected release date we finally see iPhodroid for windows released. Sergio has fixed the windows vista x64 dll issue and now you can install Android on your iPhone 3G in one click of a button. Take a look at the official status below…
Sergio Mcfly – “YES! It’s today. Gotta tell you Im so thankful for everyone to be so patient and understandable for this Release. The delay was necessary because I made everything for do not mess up your computer and despite Microsoft Windows7 64bit is very tough to accept an un-certificated DLL, I found a very good safe way to run the App without installation and no hassles. All on-the-fly and in one single click, 1SHOT Yeah!! and now it runs on fine over XP and Vista (i386 and x64). Update: According to MuscleNerd, it is safe to use iTunes 10 with a jailbroken iPhone. Just a quick heads up, Apple just pushed the iTunes 10 update! If you are a non jailbroken user then go ahead and download iTunes 10. If you are a jailbroken user, I would not be so quick to update to iTunes 10. The Dev-Team will need to investigate this new version of iTunes to ensure its safe for jailbreakers to update. If you have a jailbroken iDevice, and do not plan on updating or restoring, it will be safe to install iTunes 10. If you need to jailbreak an iDevice in the coming days, do not update yet…
Here is the download link for iTunes 10. You may not be prompted to update, as Apple is fixing linking issues. This means you may need to download iTunes 10 manually by clicking the link below…
What did Apple learn about previous generations of Apple TV? They learned that users want everything in HD and they do not want a computer; they want TV. That is why the new Apple TV is 1/4 the size of the old Apple TV and will fit in the palm of your hand! It has the power supply built in, an HDMi port and an Ethernet port as well as 802.11n Wi-Fi. Apple TV will no longer feature purchasing, users will rent movies and TV shows. This means there is no storage problem because you just rent them. It also means prices will be extremely cheaper than buying the full movie or film. iTunes HD movies will first run for $4.99 a day, and will be released the day the DVD is released.
TV shows will only cost 0.99 cents to rent and you can view them for up to 1 day! If you use the service netflix, you can also stream netflix movies directly to Apple TV. With Apple TV you may also watch YouTube, stream photos off of Flickr, and stream photos and video off mobileme. Apple TV features customer reviews and Rotten Tomato reviews of the videos and TV shows available, to avoid renting horrible movies or TV shows.
Apple has some built in storage so you can also pause videos or TV shows on the Fly. You may also stream photos and video from your iDevice directly onto Apple TV. How much will Apple TV cost?…
